The announcement at the end of last year that Newark and Southwell were joining the rest of Nottinghamshire in Tier 4 might have affected a lot of people’s Christmas plans but even the current move into Tier 5 won’t affect your house move, says independent estate agent, Alasdair Morrison.
The sales and rental markets will remain open across all tiers as confirmed by the Housing Secretary, Robert Jenrick. He also confirmed that all associated activities can continue as before but he did urge people to follow the secure Covid guidance for home-movers issued by the government.
At Alasdair Morrison & Partners, we would like to assure our clients that our Viewings Charter, which is also available to view on our website (amorrison.co.uk) has been designed to help you move home safely.
We will:
- Arrive at the property ahead of the agreed viewing time.
- Unlock the property and open all doors and cupboards.
- Viewings will be accompanied (while maintaining social distancing) on occupied properties. Weather dependent, we may wait in the garden while you view empty or vacant properties.
- At the end of the viewing, we will close up the property.
We ask our clients to:
- Confirm they do not have Covid-19, are not experiencing any symptoms and are not a vulnerable person.
- Ensure that only two members of the same household enter the property.
- Bring appropriate face coverings and gloves (plus any other PPE required to meet your needs). We can provide masks and gloves on request.
- Not touch any items within the property. Gloves must be worn if you need to hold onto handrails or banisters.
